Jessica Bienstock, M.D., MPH
Director, GYN/OB Residency Program

A native New Yorker and graduate of Columbia University, Dr. Bienstock received her medical degree from the State University of New York, and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan.   She came to Johns Hopkins to obtain her Master of Public Health degree from the School of Hygiene and Public Health, and then went on to a postdoctoral fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.  Dr. Bienstock joined the faculty of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1997, and is currently the Director of Resident and Medical Student Education as well as the Residency Program Director for the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics.   She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine, a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and holds memberships in the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics. 

Dr. Bienstock's interests include fetal ultrasound abnormalities, genetic conditions, abnormal serum screening (triple screen), antepartum testing, high-risk pregnancy conditions including Rh disease and medical complications, and operative obstetrics. She performs a full range of prenatal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including obstetric ultrasound, Doppler studies, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling (CVS), fetal blood sampling, intrauterine transfusion and fetal bladder stent placement. 

Dr. Bienstock sees patients for ultrasound and ultrasound-related consultations at the
Johns Hopkins Hospital. Her outpatient Gynecology and Obstetric practice, including high and low-risk prenatal care and Maternal-Fetal Medicine consultation, is in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine unit at the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center.
