About Us

The division of Gynecologic Specialties serves a local, regional and international patient population with a large portion comprised of referrals from general gynecologists. While general gynecologic care is offered, the division also has strong interests in infectious diseases (HIV), the evaluation and treatment of abnormal PAP smears, endometriosis, advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, alternatives to hysterectomy, menopausal medicine, uterine fibroids, pelvic pain, and vulvar diseases. In addition, we work closely with the urogynecology specialists at Johns Hopkins Bayview medical campus.

Mission Statement:  To advance women's health by providing women and their physician's with clinical expertise in aspects of gynecology that are not universally available, to increase the availability of this expertise through training programs, and to enhance this care through well designed research.
