Maternal-Fetal Research:

Pregnant Women. The department of Population and Family Health Sciences and Gyn/Ob seek healthy, non-smoking pregnant women for a study of the way relaxation and women’s emotions affect the fetus.

Participation involves three visits for fetal monitoring beginning at 24 weeks gestation and brief, daily use of a handheld device designed to guide relaxation for at least 6 weeks.

Compensation: ultrasound photos at each visit, $50 at last visit, and the opportunity to keep the relaxation device with continued use through delivery (retail value: $299).

Enroll after 12 weeks gestation.
