Abimbola Aina-Mumuney, M.D.
Raised primarily in the Philadelphia, PA area, Dr. Abimbola Aina-Mumuney attended Harvard and Radcliffe College where she received her undergraduate degree. She then attended Harvard Medical School where she received her medical degree. Dr. Aina-Mumuney completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Aina-Mumuney completed her postgraduate training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University and became part of our faculty following her Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship. She holds memberships in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
Dr. Aina-Mumuney's interests include fetal ultrasound abnormalities, genetic conditions, abnormal serum screening (triple screen), antepartum testing, high-risk pregnancy conditions including Rh disease and medical complications, and operative obstetrics. She performs a full range of prenatal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including obstetric ultrasound, Doppler studies, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling (CVS), fetal blood sampling, and intrauterine transfusion.
Dr. Aina-Mumuney sees patients for ultrasound and ultrasound-related consultations in the Prenatal Diagnosis and Treatment Center at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and at Howard County General Hospital. Her outpatient Gynecology and Obstetric practice, including high and low-risk prenatal care and Maternal-Fetal Medicine consultation, is at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. |
